On-Site Financial Counseling

The FINANCIAL COUNSELOR services provided by JOSEPH R. HARRISON CO., LPA, provide a proven methodology to accomplish the following goals:

• Trained Financial Counselors on site in the hospital Registration office
• Coverage – 6:00 am to Midnight; Monday - Saturday
• Determine patient ability to pay using various tools (i.e. credit score)
• Collect deductible and co-pay in advance; increase cash collection
• Identify and reclassify charity accounts sooner and at less cost; assistance with Medicaid applications; guide patient to various means of payment (i.e. credit/debit card, e-check; payment and loan programs) according to the hospital’s policies
• Reduce the need to re-work accounts
• Reduce patient complaints regarding patient balances
• Reduce statement and postage expense
